It’s November! Halloween decorations are packed up or on sale and Christmas is on its way. I have a few friends who have already put up their trees. If this weekend is still a little early for your tree, here are a few activities you can do with your family.
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair – This is my mom’s favourite event. She grew up on a dairy farm and I think this show brings back childhood memories for her. This is a fun event for families and offers a variety of activities. You can watch the various horse and other animal shows. Visit the vendors, eat some food or sample the award winning wines! There is something for every age category at this annual event.
Just for Laughs Comedy Tour – This coast to coast tour stops in Toronto this weekend. This tour is stars Dane Cook and features John Campanelli and Vinny Fasline. So, get your tickets and enjoy this evening of laughs and a good time.
Bonfire Night – Remember, remember the fifth of November… This event is a little out of the way but it is worth it. In England, they don’t really celebrate Halloween; they celebrate Bonfire Night a.k.a. Guy Fawkes Day. This event generally consists of various activities and always ends with fireworks. This promises to be a fun event for children, so head on down! What makes a fireworks show in November great is that it gets dark earlier, so the fireworks are scheduled to start at 7pm; meaning that you have lots of time to get the kids to bed at a decent time. Daylight savings will also help make up for a late night.
Enjoy your weekend!
