If you like to commute into Toronto, whether it’s for work or to cheer on the Blue Jays, GO Transit makes the commute a lot easier and takes away the stress of being stuck in traffic with thousands of others trying to go the same way as you.
I grew up in Ajax and have many fond memories of taking the GO Train down to Union Station with my family to see the Jays play. There is just something about going on a train that makes the trip to Toronto more exciting than if it was just another car trip. People from Bowmanville will eventually get to experience this in 2024. I know it seems like that’s an eternity away, but with how quickly Bowmanville is growing, it is definitely needed.
In total, there will be four GO stations added to the Durham region by 2014, with two in Oshawa, one in Courtice.
Now is a good time to move to Bowmanville. Since it is a town that is just starting to really grow, the housing prices are reasonable and easier for many people to afford, especially if this will be your first home. As a town grows and becomes more populous, prices will go up, especially once the extension of the GO Transit system is complete. If you’re thinking of moving, consider Bowmanville. It just might be exactly what you’re looking for.
